Did I ever tell you about when I had my IUD taken out?

It was a celebratory day for me for many reasons. It was a full moon: perfect time for a release. The night before, my sisters had surprised me and were waiting in my bedroom when I got home from a friend's dinner. They had done this, of course, because the following morning was my day of birth. I would be turning thirty-eight, or “thirty-great,” as my partner and I liked to call it. 

Birth stories are a favorite golden key for me. Not just because, as an adult, I like to know everyone's human design and the way their astrological chart lines up, but also because I believe a birth story has a lot of medicine and healing in it.
